The Parmigiani Fleurier manufacture pools all expert craftsmanship

The Sandoz Family Foundation started developing the Parmigiani Fleurier watchmaking center in 1996. This comprehensive center of industrial craftsmanship brings together all the areas of expertise required to create a timepiece to guarantee optimal quality.

The five artisanal companies that compose the manufacture are primarily dedicated to their sister brand, Parmigiani Fleurier; however, they also make their skills and products available to other high-end watchmakers. These suppliers are now part of Parmigiani Fleurier for their spirit of innovation, production quality, and respect for the Swiss industrial tradition.

Dials

In December 2005, Quadrance et Habillage was founded and integrated into the Parmigiani watchmaking center in order to strengthen its production independence. These craftsmen ensure that each dial is a true work of art: the disk can be left raw or engraved with guilloché before a surface treatment and coloring are applied. Then the master dial maker creates a custom design for each piece and adorns it with high-quality finishes.

Cases

Since being integrated into the watchmaking center in May 2000, Les Artisans Boîtiers SA has placed the know-how of its master craftsmen and its cutting-edge production technology at the service of the Parmigiani Fleurier brand. Thanks to this partnership, the company can now produce all kinds of cases, even the most original ones. Each piece is first developed in the design office using 3D software before it is machined. Then the craftsman works on the case by hand to give it its unique character: welding, filing, and finally adding the final touch.

Movements

Created in 2003, Vaucher Manufacture Fleurier is the watchmaking center’s engineering powerhouse. It produces high-quality manual and automatic mechanical movements as well as additional modules. Each of the calibers produced by Vaucher Manufacture Fleurier benefits from a surface finish of exceptional quality thanks to operations such as the decoration and beveling by hand of all the components. Every day, the desire to innovate drives the Vaucher Manufacture Fleurier research and development department to invent new calibers.

Components

This company specialized in producing traditional gears joined the watchmaking center in December 2000. Bringing together nearly 20 different trades, it produces all the components in the watch gear train. Since 2006, atokalpa has been able to produce all the elements needed to assemble an oscillator, including the balance spring and pallet fork. atokalpa also has an in-house machine-building department, allowing it to continually innovate and develop its expertise.

The high-precision micromechanics company Elwin was integrated into the watchmaking center in January 2001. Specializing in bar turning and producing specific parts, it is renowned for its expertise in constructing digitally controlled bar turning machines and developing software. The company is recognized as an expert in its field and has great potential for innovation in the area of production methods. Moreover, Elwin has developed a new lathe specifically designed for the watchmaking industry, the DH7.
