Parmigiani Fleurier’s expertise
Founded in 1996 by renowned master watchmaker and restorer Michel Parmigiani, Parmigiani Fleurier is unique among Haute Horlogerie brands, drawing much of its energy and inspiration from its founder’s unmatched expertise in the art of restoring antique timepieces while still embracing modern technologies, materials, and design principles of the 21st Century.
Also rare among luxury watchmakers is Parmigiani Fleurier’s ability to produce all its watches, from design to finished product, within a single Watchmaking Center made up of artisanal Swiss firms all under the umbrella of the Sandoz Family Foundation.
An independent manufacture
Parmigiani Fleurier is a true manufacture in the classical sense: every component in every timepiece is made by a specialized producer within the Watchmaking Center, including the hairsprings, complete movements, cases, and dials, all under the creative guidance of Michel Parmigiani and Parmigiani Fleurier CEO Guido Terreni.
Meticulous control of every step of production is assured — from design to final assembly. Every timepiece that bears the Parmigiani name is not created by committee but is truly the product of a singular vision.
The know-how of more than fifty historical trades
More than 50 historical trades in the horological realm are gathered within the Parmigiani Fleurier Watchmaking Centers; not only technical and manufacturing know-how but also rare artisanal skills such as enameling and guilloché.
This confluence of designers, engineers, craftsmen, and watchmakers, all plying their trades in a continuous quest for excellence, gives birth to watches with the highest level of technical and aesthetic savoir-faire.
A vision guided by creativity and innovation
Each Parmigiani Fleurier watch has a story, one that begins within the brand, where its place in the overall product family is solidified and its strategy within the market is thoughtfully planned. The story continues in the restoration department, where historically significant and beautiful timepieces of the past inspire creative solutions for developing pieces for the modern collection.
CEO Guido Terreni heads up the design office, where each new creation is honed to a finished watch concept, which is then assembled and made a reality by the teams within the Watchmaking Center.
Certified quality
As one of the only brands in the world to have its own manufacture, Parmigiani Fleurier participated in creating the Fleurier Quality Foundation, the first qualitative and independent watchmaking certification for watches made 100% in Switzerland. This initiative is supported in particular by the public authorities, including the Swiss Federal Government (SECO), as well as by the watch brands and manufactures located in Fleurier.
