With the Toric Chronomètre, Parmigiani Fleurier has gone back to his roots with a contemporary interpretation of the first watch designed by Michel Parmigiani. Hours, minutes, seconds and dates – the evocation of time in its purest expression with reference to the seminal model of the brand.
The bezel with alternating gadroons and knurling is a distinctive feature of this Toric timepiece. To create this seminal element of the strength of the design inherent in this model, Michel Parmigiani was inspired by the structure of Doric columns. Knurling is a technique involving the manual fluting of material with a wheel that imprints notches into the metal. Each watch is therefore unique. It is made by a craftsman from Parmigiani Fleurier’s watchmaking centre who has created the knurling of all Toric pieces since 1996.
The Toric Chronomètre focuses on the very essence of time, with three hands and the date indication through a wide aperture – this code is part of Parmigiani Fleurier’s visual identity. The dial stands out for its purity and classic design. It is available with a black opaline or white grained finish, an expert artisanal skill that creates a unique texture by brushing the dial with a mixture of silver powder by hand.
The Toric Chronomètre features the in-house Calibre PF331 chronometer-certified by COSC, and all its components have been meticulously decorated. Each Toric Chronomètre is a one of a kind and meets the standards of excellence in terms of precision and reliability, and is unique to the Parmigiani Fleurier Manufacture.
