Unveiled in 2012, the steel Kalparisma Agenda joined and enriched the Kalparisma Collection, which had featured only rose gold until then. It became the first steel watch with an automatic movement designed for women. It is aimed at the modern, dynamic woman seeking a time display featuring the essential indications: date, hours, minutes and seconds at a glance, in an elegant arrangement.
The modern, practical Kalparisma Agenda has a date indicator at 6 o'clock, a detail appreciated by today's woman, and crowned by a classic small seconds counter. The date window is of a luminous powdered gold colour, and three digits wide for optimal date reading.
The Kalparisma Agenda is available in a choice of three dial versions: guilloché ivory and black, to echo the sun's rays, and a mother of pearl dial with intense reflections. These dials are complemented by a wide range of leather straps, or a steel bracelet. The two sides of the steel case can be set with Top Wesselton diamonds of a rare brilliance, enhancing the dial's lustre.
The shape of the Kalparisma Agenda case is the classic "tonneau", one of the first designs that Michel Parmigiani created for his brand. This form is based on the application of the golden ratio, a geometrical reference which provides a harmonious ratio of proportions. The case and its lugs, the angle of which has been carefully calculated to describe a perfect curve, sit ergonomically on the wrist.
Automatic movement
The calibre PF331 is the first self-winding mechanical movement from Parmigiani Fleurier. The movement has a modular design which allows for a diverse range of Kalparisma versions. The date is an optional addition, and does not affect the overall kinetics. It can be equipped with a small second at 6 o'clock or a large central second, while maintaining the delicate balance of the dial. This movement offers the finest Haute Horlogerie finishes you would expect from Parmigiani Fleurier, and ones which very few brands would apply to such a mechanism. The bridges are sandblasted, drawn out or "Côtes de Genève" decorated, then bevelled by hand and, finally, rhodium-plated. The steel oscillating weight is outlined. Michel Parmigiani has high expectations when it comes the brand's craftsmanship: each component, however small or hidden, deserves the very finest finishes. This attention to detail is what makes the Kalparisma Agenda Collection so precious.
