The Kalpa was the first shaped watch designed by Michel Parmigiani in 1997. A balanced model, the Kalpa XL Hebdomadaire features a shaped movement with manual winding, while providing an exceptional 8-day power reserve.
The Kalpa model is characterised by its elegant case in the shape of a "barrel". This seminal design was one of Michel Parmigiani's first and established the brand’s aesthetic codes. Its shape is based on the application of the golden ratio, a geometric reference point that ensures a ratio with harmonious proportions. The case, whose incline has been studied to identify the perfect curve, is extended by elegant lugs and hugs the wrist with a view to achieving the ideal ergonomic fit.
The Kalpa XL Hebdomadaire features a movement with 8 days (215 hours) of autonomous operation, while offering an exceptionally comfortable user experience. This remarkable power reserve is indicated by a patented mechanism. It is ensured by two series-coupled barrels which also allow for great uniformity in the energy distribution to the gear train. Its operation is therefore more regular while its precision is increased.
Combining emphatic style and the purity of lines with timeless elegance, Kalpa XL Hebdomadaire is giving time both a heart and a face, harmoniously combined, in keeping with authentic Haute Horlogerie values . The classic beauty of its dial is embellished with rose gold appliqués that glide over the iconic Parmigiani Fleurier delta-shaped hands. Its outer part is adorned with a sun-coloured guilloche pattern, while the small second’s counter is a delicate azure.

The Calibre PF110 was Michel Parmigiani’s first movement. This manual-winding movement (29.3 x 23.6 mm) follows the curves of the case. Decorated according to the highest Haute Horlogerie standards, this movement has an 8-day power reserve while offering exceptional user comfort. Its pendulum oscillates at 21,600 vibrations per hour and is paired with a sensitive “swan-neck” regulator mechanism. Comprised of 267 components, it allows for the display of hours, minutes, a small second at 6 o’clock, the date and the power reserve.
