A Chronograph in
Full Light

Some chronographs are defined by function. Others by presence.

The TONDA PF Chronograph 40 mm belongs to the second family: a watch of mechanical substance, chromatic richness and sartorial precision. Its integrated manufacture calibre beats at 5 Hz, offering certified chronometry and measurement to one tenth of a second. Its column-wheel architecture gives the chronograph its crisp, beautifully mechanical feel. Its 40 mm case brings the entire composition into a rare state of balance.

Here, technical performance is never treated as a cold proposition. It becomes warmth, texture, rhythm and light. The chronograph takes on one of its most expressive forms: generous in detail, luminous on the wrist, and precise in every proportion.

A daily chronograph, certainly but for a daily life lived with style, ease and discernment.

The Warmth of Gold, the Freshness of Mineral Light

In full 18-carat rose gold, the TONDA PF Chronograph 40 mm gains a rare physical presence. The case and bracelet carry the density of precious metal, while the alternation of polished and satin-finished surfaces gives the watch its architectural rhythm. Light travels across the bracelet, catches the fluted profile of the knurled bezel, and reveals the precision of each transition.

The Mineral Blue dial brings the counterpoint. Cool, luminous and quietly shifting, it opens the watch to air and reflection. Against rose gold, the blue becomes more vivid, more atmospheric – a colour somewhere between sky, stone and water.

This is not a shy chronograph. It is radiant, composed and full of character: a watch with the warmth of jewellery, the intelligence of fine watchmaking and the natural ease of a perfectly tailored object.

A Chronograph Dial with Graphic Authority

The dial is entirely given to the chronograph.

Three counters animate the Mineral Blue surface with clarity and rhythm, creating a graphic architecture that feels both technical and elegant. The absence of a date allows the composition to breathe. Nothing interrupts the relationship between elapsed time, civil time and the texture of the dial.

The result is not minimalism, but precision of arrangement. Every indication has its role. Every line contributes to the whole. The chronograph becomes a visual language: legible, dynamic, balanced, and rich in detail.

A Dial Woven in Light

The hand-guilloché Grain d’Orge gives the watch its most distinctive texture.

Engraved into the dial as a field of micro-relief, it catches light in fine, almost textile vibrations. On Mineral Blue, the pattern becomes particularly alive: the dial shifts with the wrist, revealing depth, movement and tonal nuance.

This is one of Parmigiani Fleurier’s great strengths: the ability to make technique sensual. Guilloché is not used as ornament, but as a way of giving matter intelligence. The surface becomes tactile, optical, almost woven – a meeting point between mechanical precision, handcraft and elegance.

The Sartorial Ease of 40 mm

A full-gold chronograph carries natural power. At 40 mm, that power is brought into proportion.

The case has presence without heaviness. The bracelet gives substance without rigidity. The pushers add mechanical character; the knurled bezel gives the watch its unmistakable Parmigiani Fleurier signature. The whole object feels tailored rather than merely designed – built around the wrist, around movement, around daily life.

It is a chronograph that moves easily between worlds: formal, relaxed, urban, coastal, professional, private. Its versatility does not come from neutrality. It comes from balance.

Calibre PF070-COSC:
High-Frequency Architecture

Inside the TONDA PF Chronograph 40 mm beats the calibre PF070-COSC, an integrated manufacture chronograph movement conceived as a complete mechanical architecture.

Its high-frequency cadence of 5 Hz – 36,000 vibrations per hour – allows the chronograph to measure elapsed time to one tenth of a second. COSC certification confirms its chronometric performance, while the 65-hour power reserve gives the watch the endurance expected of a modern daily chronograph.

At only 6.95 mm thick, the movement also serves the elegance of the object. Performance does not overwhelm proportion. It supports it.

Conceived as One

The PF070-COSC is an integrated chronograph calibre. The distinction matters.

In an integrated architecture, the chronograph function is conceived with the movement from the beginning. It is part of the calibre’s structure, energy flow and mechanical logic. The result is a more coherent construction, a more direct relationship between the pushers and the mechanism, and a higher expression of chronograph watchmaking.

For the collector, this is one of the essential signs of seriousness. The chronograph is not a layer added to a movement. It is the movement’s very reason for being.

The Pleasure of the Gesture

The column wheel is one of the noble signatures of a fine chronograph.

It coordinates the start, stop and reset functions with precision, giving the pushers their particular feel: crisp, smooth, immediate. The sensation is subtle, but decisive. It is felt at the fingertip before it is read on the dial.

This tactile quality belongs to the intimate culture of mechanical watchmaking. It is the moment when technical architecture becomes pleasure – a gesture, a response, a finely judged click.

One Tenth of a Second

The calibre PF070-COSC beats at 5 Hz, a high-frequency rhythm that enables measurement to one tenth of a second.

This cadence brings energy to the movement and precision to the chronograph. It also gives the watch a more exacting mechanical temperament: faster, sharper, more demanding to regulate and finish.

In the TONDA PF Chronograph 40 mm, that technical ambition remains beautifully integrated. The movement is powerful, but the watch remains elegant. The performance is visible, tangible, and worn with ease.

Mechanical Beauty for the Informed Eye

Visible through the sapphire caseback, the calibre PF070-COSC reveals the finishing vocabulary of Parmigiani Fleurier: satin-finished openworked bridges, bevelled decoration and a skeletonized 22-carat rose gold oscillating weight.

There is richness here, but no noise. The movement is not theatrical; it is architectural. Its beauty lies in the treatment of surfaces, the clarity of the bridges, the quality of the angles, and the quiet pleasure of a calibre finished for those who know where to look.
