When I designed the middle case of the Toric, I hoped that it would become a timeless model with an aesthetic that would survive the test of time. The permanence of my creations continues to be my greatest dream.
– Michel Parmigiani
The Maison’s founding piece
The very first wristwatch designed by Michel Parmigiani, the Toric debuted in 1996 to powerfully announce the inauguration of the brand. The Toric case, with knurling and gadroons inspired by Greek columns, is among the foremost examples of Parmigiani Fleurier’s “golden ratio” aesthetic. Inside the hand-finished cases are a host of prestigious movements.
A model with prestigious watch complications
The elegantly timeless cases of the Toric watches feature a plethora of watch complications, from chronograph to perpetual calendar to cathedral minute repeater, all the way up to the unique “wandering hours” time display of the Toric Capitole. The world premiere Toric Hémisphères Rétrograde was awarded the Travel Time Watch Prize at the Geneva Watchmaking Grand Prix in 2017.
