THE NEW LANGUAGE OF ELEGANCE
At Parmigiani Fleurier, we create timepieces born of knowledge refined through time: where proportion guides every gesture, and beauty emerges from balance.
The Toric embodies this philosophy: an architecture of curves and light that deepens with every glance. From the wrist, it transmits not stories, but a sense of harmony, the geometry of time made visible.
THE GEOMETRY OF TIME — HARMONY AS DESTINY
When Michel Parmigiani created his first wristwatch in 1996, the Toric Perpetual Calendar Retrograde, he turned to the golden ratio: the quiet order found in a seashell’s spiral or a snowflake’s symmetry. For him, this principle is not decoration but destiny. It expresses a universal rhythm that connects nature’s patterns and human architecture, from the domes of antiquity to Le Corbusier’s sketches.
Every Toric follows this same law of harmony. Each line, curve, and reflection finds its place within an invisible geometry. This is where the Toric’s quiet strength resides: in the balance between reason and grace, mathematics and beauty. To wear it is to align oneself with a deeper order: the geometry of time.
“Toric comes from Torus, the curved form at the base of classical columns, a meeting of strength and harmony. It has always represented for me the human desire to build with proportion, to elevate through balance.”
— Michel Parmigiani, Founder
THE INTELLIGENCE OF THE HAND
Michel Parmigiani devoted his life to reviving techniques nearly lost to modern watchmaking. Among them, hand-graining gives the Toric its depth and vibration. Under the artisan’s fingers, the dial comes alive with a soft, natural texture that catches light in silence. Every motion is deliberate, every imperfection embraced, the human pulse behind mechanical perfection.
The result is not ornament, but presence. The Toric reflects a masculine elegance born of measure, not display; of gesture, not excess.
THE ART OF CHOSEN ELEGANCE
Reinstated in 2024, the Toric reflects a renewed appreciation for the art of dressing with intention. For the modern collector, it complements a wardrobe built on quality rather than ostentation and speaks to discernment over display. Between architecture and attire, between form, function, and intent, it offers coherence and calm.
As the Maison approaches its 30th anniversary, the Toric evolves again in 2025 with four new expressions:
Toric Quantième Perpétuel Morning Blue and Golden Hour, Toric Petite Seconde Golden Hour and Dune, each capturing the shifting dialogue between light and time.
“We wanted to restore meaning to the dress watch, not nostalgia, but essence. The Toric speaks to those who appreciate coherence between what they wear, how they live, and what they value.”
— Guido Terreni, CEO
THE VOICE OF CONNOISSEURS — THE ECHO OF A NEW CULTURE OF LUXURY
“The Toric demonstrates what modern elegance truly means: a return to clarity, proportion, and the intelligence of craft. It honours classical codes while refining them into something deeply contemporary.”
— Tom Chamberlain, The Rake
“A timepiece that resonates with the evolving codes of luxury.”
— Wei Koh, Revolution
“For those who do not need a trophy to know who they are.”
— François-Jean Daehn, Monsieur.
