Hand-wound, minute repeater & sector display movement

The Toric Capitole represents the passage of time in its most literal sense. The numerals flow and move in a sequence around the calibrated time scale, lending a certain poetry to the act of reading the time. This Haute Horlogerie piece pays tribute to the unique array of watchmaking artefacts that is the Edouard and Maurice Sandoz Foundation collection, which was entrusted into the care of Michel Parmigiani before he launched his own brand.
Hand-wound, minute repeater & sector display movement
The PF321 movement has a minute repeater with an additional module for the sector time display. The minute repeater sounds the hours, quarter-hours and minutes on two "cathedral" gongs, so called because they form two sets around the case. A flywheel ensures that the mechanism operates silently, so that the only sound is the melodious chime each time the gong is struck. This exceptional movement features only the finest Haute Horlogerie finishes, including Côtes de Genève decoration on the rhodium-plated bridges, and hand bevelling that brings a stunning play of light to each surface.
