The Tonda 39 Qualité Fleurier comes with a promise: that of unrivalled craftsmanship and timekeeping performance. Established by Michel Parmigiani in 2004, Fleurier Quality certification has become the most demanding certification in the watchmaking world, and represents a brand of unquestionable prestige.
Each Tonda bearing the Fleurier Quality stamp must have fulfilled five strict evaluation criteria for the piece as a whole. These relate to the following requirements: 100% Swiss-Made; an exemplary aesthetic finish on each component; compliant with COSC certification; compliant with Chronofiable certification (shock resistance, wear resistance); having passed the Fleuritest (a unique wearing simulator). All of these additional criteria guarantee superior timekeeping performance.
The Tonda 39 Qualité Fleurier bears all the signature aesthetic codes of Parmigiani Fleurier, with its thin, slender profile, its delta-shaped hands and its iconic teardrop-shaped lateral lugs. The lugs prolong the white gold or rose gold case at an ergonomically optimal angle.
The design of the Tonda Qualité Fleurier is informed by the pursuit of classic simplicity. This is a watch that has no need to advertise its value. The dial surface is perfectly smooth white or silver lacquer, for a pure, luminous effect. The numerals are painted rather than applied, for a sober touch of authenticity that underlines the classicism of the piece.
Automatic movement, COSC certificate and Qualité Fleurier
The Tonda Qualité Fleurier is equipped with the PF331 automatic movement with a power reserve of 55 hours. The unique feature of this movement is its series-mounted double barrel, which helps to stabilise the distribution of energy and ensure its transmission to the regulator at a constant level. The movement features spectacular finishes, as required by Fleurier Quality certification: a 22-carat gold oscillating weight and the crossed "Côtes de Genève" decoration on the bridges complete the fine craftsmanship of the piece.
