The mark of the starfish
When the partnership between Parmigiani Fleurier and the yacht builder Pershing began, the resulting timepieces designed themselves. They combine the power and dynamic curves of yacht hulls. The ocean is far from being an exclusively male domain, however. With women in mind, the Manufacture has designed a graceful, seductive collection that is highly evocative of the marine depths.
The Pershing 002 Asteria is first and foremost a chronograph diving watch. Water-resistant to a depth of 100 metres, it is fitted with a unidirectional rotating bezel, as well as a diving tachometer based on 3 metres for decompression stops. On land, its imposing case middle offers soft reflections. Its dial is made from white mother of pearl, painted on the rear with a bright blue that appears transparent.
The small second is brought to life with an impish starfish, the “asteria” that gives the watch its name. The five engraved arms mark the seconds. An equally playful octopus has made its home at the end of the second hand. The Pershing 002 Asteria combines a strength women love to see on their wrists with mischievous and refined accents.
