The Kalpa Piccola joined the Parmigiani Fleurier collection in 2006 as the first watch designed for women. Since then, this model has become the height of elegance and finesse, majestically set with stones, and featuring guilloché dials in captivating colours.
The shape of the Kalpa Piccola case is the classic "tonneau", one of the first designs that Michel Parmigiani created for his brand. This form is based on the application of the golden ratio, a geometrical reference which provides a harmonious ratio of proportions. The case and its lugs, the angle of which has been carefully calculated to describe a perfect curve, sit ergonomically on the wrist. The sides of the steel case and the lugs are set with brilliant-cut Top Wesselton diamonds of a rare purity.
The dial of the Kalpa Piccola features guilloché work, reflecting the sun's rays. This motif also echoes the segmentation of the hours: the pattern becomes a form of index. The relief inherent in guilloché work accentuates the intensity of the colours applied to it. Black, ivory and amaranth are enhanced by this unique brilliance, complemented by the steel bracelet which gleams as it frames the wrist.
There is an inherently feminine softness in the design and lines of the Kalpa Piccola. The curve of the case extends to the rounded lugs in perfect harmony, emphasised by a striking setting of diamonds. The numerals 6 and 12 on the dial, inspired by Art Nouveau, feature exuberant curves, evoking the softness of the female form.
The Kalpa Piccola is equipped with a quartz movement, with flawless craftsmanship ensuring the reliability and finesse of the watch. Decorated to the very highest Haute Horlogerie standards, this movement echoes the details that make the Kalpa Piccola so precious.
