OVALE COLLECTION

The idea to launch an oval-shaped collection originated, like so many others, from a restored piece. In 1997, Michel Parmigiani and his team restored a Verdon and Stedman pocket watch whose pantograph hands extend and retract, following the elliptical shape of the oval case. Captivated by this complication, which seemed to be alive, they decided fifteen years later to adapt this principle to the smaller dimensions of a wristwatch.

The Ovale Collection, launched in 2013, is also available with normal hands or a tourbillon, although the model with pantograph hands remains its flagship version and founding piece. It highlights Parmigiani Fleurier's unbreakable bond with restoration and the dialogue between the excellence of the past and the search for future watchmaking expressions, which the brand has always sought to continue.
