Since 2004, Parmigiani Fleurier has been creating pieces to meet the requirements of the highly prestigious Qualité Fleurier label.
Chronometric performance and reliability
The Tonda Qualité Fleurier is driven by the house calibre PF 4000 with its power reserve of 55 hours. The unique feature of this movement is its series-mounted double barrel, which helps to stabilise the distribution of energy and ensure its transmission to the regulator at a constant level. Hence, whether the tension is at its maximum, when the movement is fully wound, or its minimum, when the power reserve has run down, the power inside the mechanism remains stable. This ensures it keeps time perfectly.
In line with the requirements of the Fleurier Quality Foundation, each certified Tonda has undergone a series of rigorous tests. These evaluate the entire movement (quality of each component, COSC [Contrôle Officiel Suisse des Chronomètres] certification, the Chronofiable reliability test and the Fleuritest wearing simulation) and guarantee superior reliability and the performance of the chronometer. Qualité Fleurier certification also attests to the excellence of the finishes applied to the movement. The gold oscillating weight on the Tonda Qualité Fleurier and the crossed Côtes de Genève decoration on the bridges are just two examples of this.
The aesthetic qualities of the Tonda Qualité Fleurier are guided by the pursuit of elegance. Superbly executed, its classic features include the white lacquered dial with painted numerals, the minute track with small, straight painted graduations, and the central seconds hand.
